Patricia is the Campus Director for UMD FCA. She has spent the last decade teaching basketball and soccer to youth throughout the DMV region, coaching at Washington Christian, Spotsylvania High School and Fredericksburg Christian serving as a coach as well as a private trainer for many athletes that went on to have successful collegiate careers. She has also worked with University of Maryland Great Adrian Branch at his basketball camps and The Factory in Virginia with Rod Crooks.
As a former two sport collegiate athlete, Patricia understands what it takes to perform at a high level and now enjoys encouraging coaches and athletes to keep perspective, know who they are and play for something bigger than themselves. Coach Hollowell is a certified Sportsmetrics trainer specializing in performance enhancement and the prevention of major knee injuries as well as a certified Mental Game Instructor through the International Mental Game Coaching Association.
Patricia and her husband Kevin have 4 children, 3 of whom are competitive athletes and they reside in Montgomery County, MD at the camp that Kevin runs for underprivileged youth.
“The opportunity to speak God’s truth and show his love through the context of collegiate sports is such a privilege! In a world where we value sports and athletic ability at the highest levels, to have a voice in that community is an amazing opportunity that we shouldn’t take for granted.”

I am a husband and father of 3 and mentor to 2. God has called me out of IT and into ministry. I am raising support to be able to minister to collegiate athletes at the University of Maryland. This is an amazing opportunity where I can combine my love of Jesus Christ and my passions for sports.
Our purpose is to bring Christ and His love to the coaches and athletes through huddles and one-on-one relationship building and then support them in their walk.
My ministry efforts through FCA are possible because of appreciated donors’ faithful prayer and financial support.

Chaudlier Shepherd (prospective staff)
My name is Chaudlier “Shep” Shepherd. I am currently Prospective Staff for FCA working to raise funds in order to become a Campus Representative with the goal of working with the football team at the University of Maryland. I am a 23 year old from Upper Marlboro, MD. I played football and graduated from Wise High School in 2013 and did the same in college at Concord University graduating with a degree in business in 2017. I was a 3-time all-conference defensive back/returner at Concord and a huddle leader for their FCA chapter. I will be getting married to my lovely fiancé, Heaven, as well as becoming a dad to my step daughter Aaliyah on December 15th!
I am incredibly humbled that God saw it fit to place me here at UMD and am blessed to be in a position where I get to combine both of my passions, God and football. To wake up everyday knowing that I have the opportunity to develop Gospel-centered relationships with the coaches and athletes on our campus is a dream come true. Our vision is to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes and we desire to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church!
